& What it means

• In order to be an APP Member, you must use high quality, implant grade body jewelry for all initial piercings and jewelry invoices need to be submitted to prove this.

• The studio must be properly set up to meet the APP’s health and safety standards in each area: For us, this was both piercing rooms, processing/sterilization room, lobby, restroom, storage, etc. This is confirmed with an uncut, unedited, narrated video submission where we show each room floor-to-ceiling as well as open each cabinet and drawer.

• Photos of our autoclave were required to show it is medical-grade and meets all FDA standards as well as documents to show that it is being regularly tested by a third party for spores and passing those tests.

• Piercers must have up to date training in Bloodborne Pathogens, CPR and First Aid as well as licensing to pierce.

To put it simply, our piercers having APP Membership ensures to clients that we are being honest when we tell you we use verifiable, high quality jewelry and you are being pierced in a safe environment.
