You have questions,

we have answers

Where is Clove located?

You can find us in the Shoppes at West Village in Roanoke County.

When you enter the parking lot, follow the road around the back of the plaza to the upper level and you will find plenty of spaces to park right outside our door.

If you choose to park on the lower level, you can reach us by walking up the stairs between Elderberry’s and Optical Shop.

Our address is 3555-H Electric Rd, Cave Spring, VA

What days & hours are you open?

We are open 7 days a week 11am - 8pm. Hours may differ depending on holidays and work load. Keep an eye on our social media @clovepiercing for a heads up about hour changes and closings.

Do you take Walk-ins or appointments?

We operate on a walk-in basis all day, every day!

If you feel your situation is unique and may require an appointment, reach out to us via social media, email or phone and we can assess.

CAN I request a specific piercer?

Absolutely! Just let us know who you would prefer to get pierced by when you come in.

Are there certain piercings you don’t do?

We will not do horizontal tongue or lip piercings on anyone, ever.

Most piercings are case by case and may be turned down due to a client’s specific anatomy.

Katelyn does not perform any genital piercings or children’s ear piercings.

Can I go swimming with a new piercing?

No, you should not go swimming in pools, lakes, or the ocean for the first few weeks following a new piercing. Doing so increases the risk of infection.

Should I twist my Jewelry during the healing process?

This is an outdated recommendation. It is not beneficial or necessary and doing this can actually be detrimental, leading to longer heal times.

Ideally, you should not touch your piercing at all outside of routine cleaning with saline 2-3x per day (with freshly washed hands)

Can i get my nose pierced with a hoop?

No, your nose piercing will be done with a flat back stud to start with. This ensures your healing process goes a lot smoother! Once you’re healed up, we can definitely swap it out for a hoop.

Do you have aftercare available?

Yes, we have sterile saline spray from Steri-Wash available for $10.

I have a metal allergy, what materials do you use?

We use implant-grade titanium, pure niobium and solid 14k/18k golds. Most people with a metal allergy have a reaction to nickel. You can rest assured that our jewelry is nickel-free. Titanium allergies are rare, but not unheard of, please let us know ahead of time if this is an allergy you have.

I have a latex allergy, do you use latex gloves?

We have latex as well as nitrile gloves available for this reason. Definitely let us know about any sensitivities or allergies you may have when you come in!

I’m pregnant, can I get a piercing?

You will need to wait to get a new piercing until after you’ve given birth. Your body is busy doing so much to support the growth and development of your baby that piercings are unlikely to heal very well, if at all. Even well-healed piercings can start to develop issues during pregnancy.

Can I bring friends or family with me?

Definitely! We want your piercing experience to be as comfortable and enjoyable as possible and we love guests.

Do you do piercings on minors?

Yes. We have the age for each piercing listed with pricing.

A custodial parent/legal guardian must be present during the entire service and have the appropriate documentation.

How should I clean my jewelry?

Once healed, if you take out your jewelry and notice it needs a cleaning, a soapy water soak or saline soak is efficient. You can also use a brush to get in-between prong settings or crevices in the jewelry.

If your jewelry has been anodized, you will want to use a soft cloth for cleaning and avoid scrubbing. Abrasive surfaces can ruin the anodic oxide finish, in other words, ruin the color of the jewelry.

Titanium jewelry should never be cleaned with hydrogen peroxide as this can damage the polish and cause your jewelry to become unsafe for wear

The jewelry imperfections that come from this can collect bacteria and debris which may lead to problems concerning the health of your piercing. But also, this surface damage can ruin the appearance of your jewelry and cause it to become discolored and rough.

Hydrogen Peroxide is often found in teeth whitening products as well as some hair products.

For Hair Care: We suggest covering your ear(s) with something such as a disposable glove or showercap if you plan to lighten, color, or remove color with a peroxide based product.

For Oral Care: If the piercing is healed, we suggest removing your jewelry before you brush/swish with a peroxide based product. Especially if this is something you do daily. If your piercing is still healing, the jewelry should not be taken out and we recommend discontinuing the use of this product until your piercing is healed and you can remove the jewelry.
